The person i ended up giving my wristband to was somebody i already knew, but had know idea they we're so involved in the subject matter i chose to do my ac4p behavior on. the behavior i had targeted was making people on campus more aware of sexual assault and taking it seriously. After certain situations occured here on campus some people chose to ignore them, and some people wanted to make a change. The girl i gave my wrist band to is named Grace. She publicly spoke out over social media and wrote to people on the school boards and tried to make a serious change. She spoke up to people on campus and did everything she could to make people aware of what was going on and to not take it lightly. It was something I admired because as important as the subject matter was to me, I'm not sure i would have the courage to speak up and make a difference like she had. So one day on campus when we ran into eachother I told her about this class and project and gave her the wrist band. It was awesome to see how appreciative she was to receive it. The whole expierence really made me think about how I need to step up if i want things to happen and not just wait to see if someone else will do it.

Sometimes on Mass Street I see homeless people. When I was at Weaver's with my boyfriend I watched a young man walk by a homeless man and give him some money. After watching numerous people just walk by him without even a glance I decided this was the person worthy of my AC4P wristband. I exited the store and fast-walked down the sidewalk to catch up with him. It felt kind of awkward when I explained to him what I was doing but I think it made him feel good. I told him about the website and that he should pass the wristband on too if he likes, and if he sees someone doing "AC4P behavior". It was a good experience.

Today in my psychology class, I received an Actively Caring for People bracelet from a classmate named Lacey. She told me that she really appreciated me getting a group of people in the class together to study together for our upcoming exam. I didn't realize how much of an impact this simple act would be, but after she recognized me, I realized that even a simple study session can mean a lot to others.
